Brockton CommonThis show takes varying parts of Brockton and provides exposure to Brocktonians for appreciation of all that the City has to offer.  This city has so much energy and talent that not one group of people can see it all!

A lot goes on behind the scenes of Brockton Common.  Eric Browne, Lisa Villani, Richard Bath and Scott Holmes work great together in bringing ideas to life.  Eric is the producer of the program, while Lisa Villani and Richard Bath are the co-hosts.

Upcoming Shows:  One of the many ideas is to highlight the arts within the high school.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the extraordinary talent of our high school students and perhaps give them a chance to be seen in a different light.

Another idea is to go behind the scenes on location to different restaurants.  There are terrific restaurants right here in our own back yard, that maybe perhaps people haven’t visited or even knew existed.  It would be neat to see the chefs in action preparing favorite dishes.

Behind the Lens:  According to Scott, one of the main ingredients in making the show is having fun mixed in with the work!  Behind the scenes of Brockton Common, light bantering and a few gags occasionally occur.  One example is how a onetime gag on the show, turned into a “member of the family”.  “Uncle Urnie”, a jar from the BCA prop room, has made appearances in almost every show.  This uncle has become a fond addition to the members of the crew.  Of course, Uncle Urnie is dressed appropriately for television, thanks to Richard Bath’s creative talent!

The Message:  When asked what message Brockton Common has to offer to viewers, the reply is:   “The quality of the community is only as good as the commitment from the people.  Parents need to be involved with their kid’s education and the community.  When they are, their lives are enhanced.”   Brockton Common is committed to bringing the best of Brockton with great quality into everyone’s own living room.

Be sure to watch Brockton Common on Tuesdays at 6:00pm and 10:00pm, and on Fridays at 7:30pm.
