10-year plan to end homelessness |
With the problem of
homelessness getting worse and worse, city
officials decided to form an ad-hoc study group to
research the problem and potential solutions.
Members of the local, state, and federal
governments filled city hall to announce a 10-year
plan to combat chronic homelessness. This plan
has been in the works for a while now and focuses
on finding a solution, rather than managing a
problem. |

Rotary Clock Dedication |
In celebrating Rotary
International’s “Service Above Self Day” The
Brockton Rotary Club, dedicated a beautiful new
clock at the corner of Belmont, and Warren Ave.
Implementing this clock has been a multi year
effort spanning many presidencies. With all of
the bad press that has been present lately, it’s
great to see good things such as this happening as
well. |

2nd Annual
Brockton Peace March |
Dozens gathered in
the streets marching from South Middle School to
City Hall Plaza for the second annual Peace March
speaking out against rising violence in the city.
Attendance showed that most people in Brockton
aren’t happy about recent trends in violence.
Many attendees had lost friends or family to
violence.. |

Brockton area Freemasons: Child Safety Day |
In an effort to
promote child safety, the Brockton area Freemasons
are hosting a child safety day where parents and
children alike can come and learn about child
safety and how our public agencies protect our
safety. |

3rd Annual
Brockton Garden Show
|
More than 40 exhibitors Attended the 3rd
annual Brockton Garden Show, where vendors
displayed and sold all sorts of garden-related
products. This year’s theme was “Growing Green.”
There were products and workshops for patrons to
learn more about earth-friendly gardening. |
