Here at
Brockton Community Access we produce One
North Main to promote the individuals & groups
that make this city “the City of Champions”.
So recently we went down to the
Brockton Public Library to interview some of
the artists who are teachers in the
Brockton Public School system at the 3rd
Annual Faculty Art Show. an exhibit display
over a dozen artists who teach in Brockton.

a fictional emergency event in Brockton. It
was recorded during the annual
BEMA
(Brockton
Emergency Management Agency) disaster
exercise and edited to simulate the planned
exercise.

Brockton Cribs
with Mayor James Harrington

You may
be familiar with the TV show "Cribs" where a TV
crew tours the home of celebrity. Well
"Brockton Cribs" is similar in the sense that we
tour a location in Brockton with a local
celebrity. So in our inaugural effort we
visit the office of none other than Mayor James
E. Harrington in what has to be the "must see"
of the summer.

Strand Theatre Fire Memorial

There are certain
things we all take for granted as citizens of this
great city. For example, when we dial 911 we know
that Brockton’s emergency services will be there
for us – continuing the fine tradition set forth
by their predecessors. Well at a time before we
could dial 911 for help, dozens of Brockton’s
firefighters responded when an alarm went out
because the Strand Theatre was burning. These
firefighters fearlessly responded to their duty –
and thirteen of them would provide the ultimate
service and sacrifice.

14th Annual
Taste of Metro South

For
fourteen years the
Metro
South Chamber of Commerce has sponsored an
event that invites restaurants, businesses,
non-profit groups, community groups and others
together in the “Taste of Metro South”.
This years event was held here at the
Shaw’s Center
in Brockton and the building was bursting at the
rafters.
