Keep Brockton
Beautiful Day 2006
|
Last year on
overcast Saturday BCA sent a camera person to
record the first Keep Brockton Beautiful Day. We
weren't sure what I would see, how many people
would turn out, or what the outcome would be at
the end of the day. Well, hundreds showed up last
year giving a few hours of their Saturday to help
clean up the city.
This year mother
nature lent a helping hand by giving us a good day
of sun and clear skies so hundreds more could
come out to do their part, rake some leaves, pick
up some litter and in general help keep “Brockton
Beautiful”

Brockton Brightfields
Solar Project
|
We live in an
energy aware and an environmentally mindful
society and juggling the needs of energy with the
health and welfare of a community is certainly no
easy task. But over the past few years our city,
state, and federal officials have been working on
plans to meet the energy needs of the City of
Brockton and just recently a groundbreaking
ceremony was held for the new “bright fields”
initiative in the city of Champions. Here now on
1NM highlights of the event

BHS 21st Annual Art Show
|
On
this episode we take a look at the 21st
Annual
Brockton High School Art Show, a show with a
deep tradition of talented artists that has grown
from just one or two categories to over a dozen
mediums of art. So much art was on display our
cameras had a tough time recording it all, but
watch this segment closely and you might see some
work by and artist you know … it may even be
yours.

City Hall Open House
Part One
|
The
Harrington administration held its
first
City Hall
Open House where citizens could take tours of the
building, meet department heads, and even sit in
the mayor’s chair. The first installment is
the Mayor himself as we took ten minutes to have
Mayor James Harrington tell how the day came
about, what would happen, and he even unveiled a
few new initiatives from the Mayor’s office to
benefit all the citizens of the City of Champions.
