Black Brocktonians:

A Community in Transition

by Willie Wilson, Jr.

Brockton High School’s Willie Wilson, Jr. is not just a history teacher, nor is he just a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brockton Historical Society.  Willie Wilson is also an independent historian who has extensively researched Brockton and the growth of its originally small black community through business, religious, and similar community growth into one of Brockton's largest communities.  1NM interviewed the Brocktonian about his recent historical slide presentation held at the Brockton Public Library.

150th Anniversary of

D.W. Field

The man who gave Brockton the green space of D.W. Field Park would have recently turned 150 and to celebrate his birthday representatives from the Brockton Historical Society, Fuller Craft Museum, DW Field Park Association, and more gathered in celebration.  Here on One North Main we present highlights of the event.

Q& A with

Mayor James Harrington

It’s still early in the new administration of Mayor James Harrington and he still has many firsts to accomplish.  He recently sat down for his first Question and Answer session with the Metro South Chamber of Commerce.  We show just a sample of the dozen or so questions Mayor Harrington answered.

A Day in the Life of KO

And finally this episode we present a segment from “BCA on the Rox” which has been on hiatus due to Rox Radio man Dave Raymond joining the Houston Astros.  Now production is back in tune and we’ve returned to our monthly installments of that program.  For example, we offer the short segment we dubbed “A Day in the Life of KO” where Peter Czymbor spends some time with the Rox marsupial to see what KO does in a normal day.
