BCA Presents:

A Tribute to The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

One North Main presents a special highlighting the communities celebration of the life and efforts of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, JR.

• The Brockton NAACP invited Deval Patrick an accomplished lawyer who served in the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and later was Executive Vice President, senior counsel, and member of the Executive Committee at the Coca-Cola Corporation.  He has received seven honorary degrees and in his youth had the privilege of hearing Dr. King speak in person at a South Side Chicago park.

• Massasoit Community College hosted Dr. Henry Santos, a retired professor of music at Bridgewater State College who is a national and internationally recognized musician as well as a founding member of the Massachusetts Hall of Black Achievement.  In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Santos had the fortune of attending college and being the roommate of Dr. King during his last six months attending Boston University.

• Temple Beth Emmunah and the Messiah Baptist Church invited Edmund Barry Gaither who serves as the Director and Curator of the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists (NCAAA) and is Special Consultant at the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston to be their keynote speaker
