Segment Content / Focus Description

Project Guardian Angels

Project Guardian Angels is an effort of the Brockton Police Department to assist Brockton families in need this holiday season.  It may have started with one person's idea, but the program has become an annual tradition in the City of Champions.  We sit down with Rosie Browne, Al Gazzaro and Chief William Conlan who tell us about the program.

Energy Bucks

(replay from episode 43)

The winter months have not been kind to the ‘City of Champions’ and heating costs due to heat loss and fuel continue to mount.   To assist with these costs Massachusetts launched its Energy Bucks program last year.  Some local organizations, like Brockton's own Self Help,  have teamed with statewide utility leaders to take a look at conserving energy and saving money.  John Carlson and some of his staff at Self Help tell us how they assist with weatherization and fuel assistance while Steve Hall of Mass Electric tells us about the program and why business's get involved.

Holiday Parade Promo

Returning once again to Brockton is the Holiday Parade, a tradition that has grown to include Montello through Downtown through Campello.  The annual parade showcases local organizations and businesses coming together to kickoff the holiday season and as always Santa Claus ends the parade.  Be sure to tune into BCA Channel 12 through December to see the parade in its entirety.

MSPCA

Pet Smart at the Holidays

Tis the season for giving, but BCA teems up with the Metro South MSPCA in an effort to tell you why pets aren't the best idea at the holidays.  We run through a Q & A checklist of things to think about and how you can be Pet Smart at the Holidays.
