The Brockton History Trail

The Stall and Dean Company.

Introducing a new, in what we hope to be a reoccurring, segment on 1NM that centers on history in the City of Champions.  This inaugural segment focuses on The Stall and Dean Company, a clothing and sporting goods manufacturer who called Brockton home for nearly a century.  They produced clothing for the National Hockey League (NHL) and had celebrity endorsements from Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner.

 

Summer of Work & Learning

Red Cross

Now in its 12th year the Summer of Work and Learning provides Brockton High School students hands on experiences in actual work environments  from teaching to medical to history and more.  We meet up with one of these teams to learn about what they did this summer.

 

Brockton Rox Announce

The Victoria Snelgrove

Media Internship

The Brockton Rox joined with the Snelgrove family to create the Victoria Snelgrove Media Internship.  The internship is named after the Emerson College student and East Bridgewater native who tragically lost her life during the celebrations following the Red Sox victory over the Yankees in the ALCS last season.

 

Mayor's Summer

Concert Series 2005

We present a portion of the final installment of this year's "Mayor's Summer Concert Series" held at Height's Crossing.  The concert was performed by Billy Cuoto and his After Hours Band.
