National Night Out Against Crime

 

 

This year marked the 7th annual participation of Brockton (and its 10 surrounding partnership communities) in the National Night Out Against Crime.  We have a chance to talk to some of the participants and showcase some of the sights & sounds of the evening's festivities.

 

Mayor Yunits speaks at the Brockton Rotary Club

 

Mayor John T. Yunits recently spoke to the Brockton Rotary Club regarding several issues in a "mini State of the City" address.  1NM shares segments of his speech.

 

Brockton After Dark - Summer Ending Festival

Brockton's Promise in association with the Plymouth County DA's Office, the Brockton Public School System and several other local organizations sponsored a series of summer programs for Brockton youth's age four to fourteen.  1NM was on hand for the summer ending festival and we present some of the highlights.

 

MDA Lockup Fundraiser

 

The local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association held its annual Lockup a theme styled fundraiser raising funds for research and support the family and individuals battling muscular dystrophy.  We present to you the efforts of those involved in the day.

 

Friendship Series 2004 Youth Hockey Trip to Canada (segment replay)

This Spring a Brockton Youth hockey team received a formal invite to be honored guests in Canada for “Friendship Series 2004”, we showcase the invitation that took place at the State House in Boston.  This segment highlights the event prior to the four day trip to Canada.  Be sure to watch "The Friendship Hockey Series: Return to Canada" a full length documentary of the entire trip.
